PALS Instructor Essentials (online course)

 

It teaches information needed to instruct AHA's ACLS The classroom courses and to conduct skills practice and skills testing sessions for ACLS eLearning courses.

These courses include: ACLS HeartCode® ACLS Part 1 This course covers planning and preparation for courses, instructing courses, conducting written exams and skills testing and keeping your ACLS Instructor status current. It includes approximately 30 minutes of general information about instructing AHA courses, followed by course-specific information. IMPORTANT: Prior to taking this course, candidates must have a current course completion card in ACLS. Candidates also must have aligned with an AHA ACLS Training Center that is accepting new ACLS Instructors. Following successful completion of the ACLS Instructor Essentials Course, candidates also must: Attend the in-person, skills practice-driven, Faculty-led ACLS Instructor Course Be monitored by Faculty teaching their first course Upon successful completion of all steps, candidates receive an ACLS Instructor card, valid for two years. - Self-directed; available 24/7 - Certificate of completion available to print upon successful completion; certificate must be
presented at the in-person ACLS Instructor Course - Access to course content for 12 months following activation of course key - Course takes approximately three hours to complete
This course offers continuing education credit for physicians, nurses, pharmacists, physician assistants and EMS.
